I swear that I will never go off-line for three consecutive weeks ever again!

I still have tons of catching up to do, never mind the newly-written fics awaiting me.

So, I'm off!

Polly Wants Some Crackers

I bought a bunch of Linda Howard E-books a while back. I'm sad to say that I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I realized that I can never be one of those persons so enthralled with technology that I would really appreciate reading books over the computer screen. In point of fact, there's nothing like curling up in bed with a good book. I've tried reading a Susan Elizabeth Phillips e-book over my phone, but I just can't enjoy as much (despite it being in my phone for months, I've only reached until Chapter 4). Reading books electronically just seems so impersonal. For one thing, i can't dog-ear a page (yep, I'm notorious for doing that). For another thing, I can't go, 'Ah, that must be a smear when I read this book while eating chips,' or something to that effect. So, I must be one of those persons who does not believe in the future 'Paper-less Society.' Unless we cut down all the trees or whatever it is we use to make paper.

On the other hand, I've just discovered Guba! I found it better than youtube because it can upload a bigger file. And I think it has more selection of movies. And it's more lenient in enforcing copyright laws. Videos removed from youtube can be found here.

Detective Conan/Case Closed, which was already removed from youtube can be found here. I finally watched DC/CC movies. I had a heck of a time looking for its movies (so far, I only found one, and that was when I wasn't actively searching for it). Its episodes are also available

But, I still haven't figured out how to enlarge the screen in Guba.

So there. I'm off to look for the next pirated goodies!

I will go down with this 'Ship

I'm currently reading Adrian Tullberg's fics. He's (yep! He's a he!) a great author. He can be deep, funny, sexy, dramatic. His characterization is spot-on and his plot lines would reel you in. And best of all, he's still writing. I just heart his one-shots.

He writes mostly about Batman, and Batman with Wonder Woman, my DC 'Ship. He also writes a hilariously funny Green Lantern and Plastic Man, though only as background characters.

So, I'm off to read his next fic!

So many fanfics and fandoms...So little time.

Currently reading:

1. [info]holly's Tempesta de Amore
It's AU. Human!Buffy, the paid companion of an elderly Harmony, meets Human!William, who's still grieving for his recently departed wife, in Monte Carlo.

I'm enjoying the story, even if I got out of the AU phase a while back. It reminds me of Mrs. Muir's Sanctuary fanfiction. This is a WIP. There's 3 chapters so far.

2. [info]caro's Seven Years in the Desert

Season 7 never happened. Souled!Spike is in London, working for the Council of Watchers. Buffy in Sunnydale is in Sunnydale, engaged to be married to a the guy next door who has no idea of the things that go bump in the night. Half the fun in story is finding out why they are the two are not together in the first place. Of course, Buffy in the Hellmouth, her engagement won't pass by without any hijinks.

It's been a WIP for years, and I doubt if it'll get finished anytime soon. but it's superbly well-done. only, it's frustrating if you get to Chapter 17 and realize there's no continuation anymore.

Anywho...I'm off to the next fic!
